I can’t recommend The Baker enough. Every single week I look forward to Wednesday - Sunday. I will find any excuse to end up there. The Avocado Toast? Best around. Breakfast sandwiches? I have never had one like theirs. Pastries? Perfection. The Chicken Pot Pie? Amazing. Don’t even get me started on the Honey Peach Mango Iced Tea 😍 Every time I have walked into The Baker I am greeted like I’m a long time friend - you don’t find customer service like that at many places, especially around here. They produce quality food every single time. I have never left there disappointed! I’m only disappointed when I didn’t buy extras 🤣 If you want quality, this is your go to. I’d rather wait 25 minutes for a quality egg sandwich made with love than get something thrown together at another establishment that is basically the same price and produces, well, not so great food. Don’t let The few bad reviews get to you! (Easier said than done, I know!) You know what you bring to the table, and some people just like to complain for the sake of complaining. Keep being perfect and I’ll see you tomorrow! 🤣

The Baker has been on my list of places to go for some time now and it was worth the wait. Came here with my fiance for a casual breakfast and encountered a major problem: not enough stomachs between us. Every one of their offerings looked delicious. We settled on croissant bread pudding, a pear ginger scone, a raspberry cream cheese croissant, and a breakfast sandwich on an asiago bagel as well as coffees. Every bite was delectable and the coffee was perfect. The food is so expertly prepared. An egg sandwich is a simple thing, which makes it difficult to make it stand out. The ingredients are high quality and the preparation is perfect. My egg had a slightly runny yolk which made me immensely happy as this usually only happens when I make them myself at home. The bread pudding was so indulgent and had chocolate with a whisper of salt on top that was the perfect complement. The croissant was fantastic and not the dense preparation you're probably used to. It's an ideal French croissant, light and crispy with perfect layers. The staff at the counter was incredibly friendly as well as informative and helped us with some of our decision making. We both decided that this will become a monthly routine for us and we look forward to our next visit. If this is even vaguely within your vicinity, you need to stop in.

First time visiting, went shortly after opening and there was already a line but it moved very fast, everyone working there is extremely friendly and you immediately feel welcomed. I ordered a variety of pastries which all were delicious, my favorite being the passion fruit specialty donut they had available for the weekend, the exterior has the perfect crisp and the cream filling was absolutely delectable.

We came here on our daughter's reccomendation. Outstanding! Bread as delicious as in Paris, pastries & other delights are amazing. Delicious coffee as well as a great staff. Victor made our day. He is a great complement to your lovely bakery.

Return trip to the Baker. They had a Nata Donut on special. It was fantastic. They previously had a Dubai Pistachio chocolate donut, which was excellent as well. The bacon quiche is a winner. The linguica pretzel is solid. Can't go wrong with a breakfast sandwich on a Asiago bagel with Swiss cheese, bacon and a side of Sriracha sauce. Have tried the bread pudding as well. For breakfast, I'd stick to the sandwich or quiche. The bread pudding is closer to a snack. It's sweet, salty and covered in chocolate chips. Bring a Quarter to feed the meter or use the parking app on weekdays. They are also brewing Speedwell coffee, which is excellent. I no longer like it, I love it. Bumped up the stars from 4 to 5 on the quality of the product alone.

Such an amazing business. Every baked good and beverage we ordered was perfection. We were greeted warmly by Victor who was such a kind, charming presence. Dakota at the register gave some great recommendations and the entire staff although very busy, were so friendly. Such a great and happy start to our Saturday morning. It was so good we had to grab items to go for our family to enjoy as well.

We visited on a Sunday in mid-June 2025 for breakfast before heading over to the New Bedford Whaling Museum. There was street parking available but we parked a few blocks away closer to the museum. This was father's day and the place so super busy. We arrived right before 9AM and the line was just outside the door. We waited over 15 mins to place our order and another 10 or so for our order to be prepared. They had so many staff behind the counter it was crazy but they were a well oiled machine. I don't know if this was more traffic than normal. There were already multiple items sold out before we got to place our order. We ordered: - Strawberry Crumb Danish Roll (my favorite) - Cannoli 4-pack chocolate & Pistachio (nothing special) - Canele de Bordeaux (very good) - Brown Butter Bourbon Sugar Cookie (very good) - Oatmeal Crack Pie (Wife's favorite) - Coconut Cream Pie Tarlet (good) - Taro Lavender Latte (everyone tried some and it was good) The atmosphere was great. Even though we were all waiting in line to order and to pickup our food, there was no angry faces or shouting or screaming. Everyone looked genuinely happy and making small talk. They had regulars in there who seem to know the customers and the staff. Very wholesome place. We didn't feel out of place being tourists. We would 100% come back again. The food was very good.

Whenever I’m even NEAR New Bedford, I make sure to stop by The Baker and bring home enough goods for my whole family. We love the linguica cheese rolls, almond croissants, and all the breads/bagels. You really can’t go wrong with any of their freshly baked goods. Staff are always friendly, helpful and kind.

"I come here a-lot especially in the morning! The bagels, especially when they get the cream cheese just right, are the best I've ever tasted . I'd also recommend checking out their lunch menu there are some tasty options there as well. I really like that the food is great quality for a good price." The staff are also always welcoming and accommodating as well!

Stopped by for lunch after a walk around downtown new Bedford and was so glad I did!!! The focaccia pizza was so good and the lavender lemonade was my favorite!!! Not pictured is their cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing. Loved the ambiance. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and staff liked each other and got along well. Immediately makes you feel welcome! They know their regulars orders and their packaging and bakery case are on point. I'm starting school next week and I know where I'll be getting my coffee and sweet treats!!
